There are some places that just stick with you—it just so happens that the Refinery fits this both internally and externally (I’m talking about hair here, naturally…)
I first came to the Refinery about a year and a half ago and before my appointment I was asked if I could sit with a different barber than I booked with—no problem, but what struck me was that I was called and asked. That’s different, that’s special. At any rate, it was serendipitous moment because what followed was not only a great haircut, but great conversation as well. Indeed, I have found the most wonderful friend in Courtney and every visit since I’ve met equally fantastic people—with conversations about soul music, current events, politics—the usual fare. I have nothing but love for this place.

Went here for the first time last week and not only received a GREAT cut from Dave, but had fun chatting with the clients and barbers, too. Friendly people all around. I'll definitely be back.

Awesome Barbershop located downtown. I just moved to Cleveland and have been looking for a great barber. Fortunately, I do not have to look anymore because there are numerous amazing barbers at this joint. Staff is beyond talented and polite. I will be going to the Refinery for the next few years without a doubt. Amazing haircuts, great décor, and friendly barbers.

I have been coming to this place for about 1.5 years now. I moved from Columbus to Cleveland with no idea where to get my haircuts. Luckily, I came across an ad for this place to come check it out. This place has great music, great atmosphere every time you walk in and you will always be greeted coming in/out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great haircut.

Refinery Barber shop is to notch! The shop itself is super clean. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Very professional as well. Hatchi, specifically, does an incredible job! His fades are always on point. He listens well to what I want and is able to deliver. I completely trust his judgement. It you want a good hair cut, Hatchi and Refinery are where it’s at

First time getting the beard trimmed by someone else. Hatchi didn’t make it feel rushed, the trim was comfortable, and he answered all my questions. Loved the place, definitely going back...I’ll have to get a cut soon too.
Edit and addition in ‘22: still stand by the Only review I’ve left for anywhere. Comfortable, welcoming, hospitable and good conversations. Hatchi still does an amazing job with the beard trim and line up.

I went in recently for the first time, I had an appointment with Noor. She understood the cut that I wanted and did an excellent job! Very professional and easy to talk to, it was a great experience.
